It’s My True Love Gave to Me, a collection of a winter themed love stories edited by Stephanie Perkins who also edited the summer version of this book which is ‘Summer Days and Summer Nights’. Daaaaan gue suka dengan ‘My True Love Gave to Me’ sejak bagian pertama bukunya. By the way, I like to call it Book Tasting instead of Book Review, it's like cheese tasting or wine tasting, haha. Since I'm also too amateur to review a book.
As you can see on my reading tracker, I’m 75% finish on reading the book, there’s only few more stories left to read, Staf of Bethlehem and The Girl Who Wake the Dreamer are the last two that I haven’t read because of the time, and the rest of it that I don’t read is because I don’t think I’ll like it, the first is Your Temporary Santa, second is What the Hell Have You Done, Sophie Roth and it’s not like I immediately judge them by the title, but I already read for the first and second page but I still don’t get the idea of it, not because of my English but because…I don’t get it, technically that is not my fault, and Krampuslauf I think I already read about a quarter of it because on the first I think that’s nice when it talks about the Christmas season but when it gets to the love thing turns out I don’t like it and somehow reminds me of John Green’s ‘It a Cheerfultastic Christmas Miracle’ on ‘let It Snow’, I don’t why.
But, if you ask me which one is my favorite? Uuuuuuuuu I can’t decide it. I like all of them! Seriously. From what I’ve read I think the least that I like it ‘The Lady and The Fox’ and Polaris is ‘Where You’ll Find Me’, I personally don’t know why the story that has magic or impossible part is the least, but Jenny Han’s is actually unique and I enjoy reading it, hmm maybe because the others are sooo good and it’s no match to them. I really don’t know, I can’t tell which one is my favorite. They are so good and read them gave me somehow comfort, like I really experience the winter and the lovely season. ‘Welcome to Christmas, CA’ and ‘It’s a Yuletide Christmas Miracle, Charlie Brown’ are both equally awesome, I think, oh damn it I can’t decide which one is better! But the one that closest to my heart is surprisingly the ‘Beer Bucket and Baby Jesus’. The story is so good and have an unexpected ending, even I also cry during the ‘Welcome to Christmas, CA’ but still, congrats Myra McEntire. And that’s about the book, I hope I can add more review after I finish the last two stories. Pasti bagus kalo gue nyeritain satu-persatu feeling dari ke12 cerita ini ya, haha mungkin nanti deh kapan-kapan. Oh and one more thing, every-thing in this post is only my personal opinion based on what I feel, I hope no one will feel bad or anything about it, thank you dear lovely people. Good nigh !
